Peaches the Fruit Bat

I sculpted Peaches out of polymer clay over a wooden doll peg and then baked in the oven. I then painted the darkest navy blue and green on the base into the lower areas of the texture. Once the base coat was dry, I then dry brushed two shades of lighter blue to create the fur effect and moss. I found this to produce a more vivid result compared to painting bright colors first, then adding a black wash. Will be repeating this technique on future projects.

My new magnifying light ring was very helpful in painting the eyes and finger details. Must have for working on small pieces like this.
