With the second coat dry, it was time to deflate the exercise ball and see if the sculpture would hold shape. This was a very exciting and nervous moment as I had about 15 hours invested into this experiment. To my amazement, it worked better than expected! It released easily, and the hollow shell was strong to support itself. Now I’m challenged to devise a way to hang this on the wall before continuing to the next areas of the sculpture. It measures 36″ across and 18″ high.
