Second painting on the 8″ round circles started with a watercolor pencil sketch then outlined with POSCA paint pens. This gave me defined areas to fill in, and I like how the pens separate the colors. Painting in the dark blue background was very satisfying, and the yellow base color made the top colors have a slightly shifted hue that was extra pleasing. After the brushed paint dried, I used paint pens to create texture, highlights, and contrast.
