I cut a beak out of eva foam and used masking tape to form a beak. I coated the inside of the beak first since this would be hard to access after it was attached to the face. I used more wet clay to attach and blend it into the face and top feathers. I used a variety of metal pallet knives and water to smooth and sculpt the beak and eyelids.
