Unsure of the robot’s colors, I used my iPad and Procreate to mock up some colors in a quick digital format. Randomly dropping colors into the robot drawing, I could see that this green and grey/blue combo worked better. With a direction to head, I was on my way.
Toning the robot helped the colors balance and the paint to apply easily versus the raw palboard surface. The lime green for the eyes took seven coats to cover and not look blotchy.
