I have a pack of these 8″ wooden circles I intended for a different project, but then I decided to use them as a canvas because a circle is more interesting than a square. I used a watercolor pencil to draw my design then color-blocked the first layer of colors. I then outlined the entire thing in black ink but decided I did not like how that looked. To save the painting and experiment, I used POSCA paint pens to go over the black lines in different colors. Then I started making little texture lines, and this is how it turned out.
