Blairsville Courthouse Drawing

Using a photo from my phone imported into Procreate and traced with black pen I was able to quickly capture the charm of this towns iconic building. While this may be a cheat to some people, I find the drawing experience to be as valuable as free sketching in a book because I observe many of the buildings overlooked features. The iPad let’s me zoom in super close and notice details unable to be seen by standing in the street. Drawing this way while traveling is enjoyable, as I’m able to deeply observe and honor the builders details and craftsmanship. I’m exploring new brushes in the painting menu I’ve not used before. Hope to complete it tomorrow.
